For my birthday (which is today woohoo!), I didn't want to open up presents, but instead wanted to spend a weekend away in one of my favorite places. I've said it many times before, the coast of Maine is a place that I hold near and dear to my heart, and that I consider to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. It's sort of strange to be talking about Port Clyde on stixandstonez, since Port Clyde is where I started this blog just over two years ago (read my first post here). It's safe to say it was amazing spending the weekend in this tiny little gem of a town, and I'm excited to share some of our adventures with you in the next few posts.
We arrived Friday to a jaw-droppingly pink sunset, and fell asleep to the sound of waves crashing in the distance (hello heaven). We woke up bright and early Saturday morning for a little change of location (which I will share more about soon!). After a long day of adventures and traveling, we were pretty exhausted (and very hungry). Luckily the perfect solution was right down the road, so we swung by Yardbird Canteen to pick up some good ol' fried food. We brought all of our delicious loot over to Marshall Point Light House to drink cold wine and watch the sun go down.
