While on one of my usual blog, Pinterest, Instagram rabbit holes last week, I happened upon Hotel Thoumieux in Paris. It was eye candy overload to say the least- so many textures, patterns and things happening...I wasn't sure what to look at first but I knew I liked it.
After my initial freakout, I started actually looking and appreciating all of the gorgeous details in this space. Thoumieux was designed by India Mahdavi, the designer behind many other legendary (and instagram famous) spots, like Sketch in London. It's safe she doesn't shy away from making a statement, and that's what makes this little boutique hotel so awesome.
I love the simplicity of the bathrooms (especially in contrast to the rooms) and the shape of that mirror is so unique.
That chandelier is pretty awesome...
Again, some really beautiful lines in this space. I love the curves of those yellow couches and the lines of the chairs behind them.
The bedrooms are the real wow moment to me. The wallpaper paired with the curtains paired with the rug are amazing. Also the leopard hide blanket on the bed doesn't hurt.
So it's safe to say I'm daydreaming of a trip to Paris with this spot as my crash pad. Imagine walking along the seine and through the Marais all day and then resting your tired legs in one of these rooms?!? I've also heard the food at the restaurant is delicious which doesn't hurt...
