I have a few projects dogeared in old magazines or saved on Pinterest that are absolute favorites of mine. This is definitely one of them. This is an 800 square foot apartment in NYC (they call that small but at this point I'm not so sure...). Regardless, the space looks much bigger and is packed with gorgeous design. I love all of the bold patterns and mixing between more traditional and modern elements. I'm not a huge pink/purple fan but this living room makes me weak at the knees. That lucite coffee table, pink chair, artwork, pillows....I could go on. I also love the use of bold, bright wallpapers scattered throughout the apartment. It's not everywhere so it's not overwhelming, but it really packs a punch.
The interior designer, Ashley Whittaker, has some really beautiful work and a wide range of styles. She mentions a tip from decorator Billy Baldwin that I like- the entryway to a home can get away with being darker, so that the rooms get lighter and brighter as you enter further into the space. Every room in this apartment is full of personality and I can imagine being super happy coming home to this pad every night. What do you guys think?
