As the fashion and pop culture-conscious of you already know, Monday night was the 2015 Met Gala. The Met Gala, also known as the Costume Institute Gala, is hosted every year at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in coordination with the Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibit.
It's really the chance to take fashion risks, where costume-like, high fashion get ups aren't frowned upon but instead encouraged. The theme was announced: "China: Through the Looking Glass", and everyone waited with baited breathe to see how everyone would interpret it.
Many seemed to be inspired by traditional Chinese colors-- there were greens, lots of lush, luxurious jewel tones, and lots and lots of red. I also loved the wide use of satins/silks and jewel appliqués like on Alexa Chung and Emily Blunt. Below are some of my all time favorites so take a gander!
And then of course there is Queen Bey, who arrived late just looking banging as usual...
