What an amazing weekend! I did a little Memorial Day Shopping, sat in the sun, took long walks, drank rosé, went on a beautiful hike and ate delicious food. I hope you all had amazing weekends and took at least a minute to think about why we have Memorial Day Weekend (and delightfully-- no work on Monday!) I'm so grateful for all of the heroic men and women who have fought and sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
Now can we talk about food for a second? Pizza on the grill is quite possibly my favorite summer meal. We prep all of our toppings, buy homemade dough from a local pizza shop, sit on the patio and start sipping and relaxing. We switched it up this time and used our pizza stone, all heated up hot and toasty on the grill. It was much easier and made for the most amazing smokey, grilled, delicious flavor. It works best if you pre-cook one side of the dough (the side your toppings will go on), load it up with whatever your heart desires, then pop it in again. Soooo good, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Pair with a big salad and eat them as they come out of the grill. Perfect for entertaining.
Check out some pics from our Memorial Day and have a happy happy Tuesday!
