We had a great day at Brimfield on Wednesday. For the first time I think in all of the times I've been, the weather was pretty much perfect. It was cool but not too cold, partly cloudy with bursts of sun, and perfect for walking around for hours. Sadly, I didn't have any luck on my end but my mom got a large ironstone bowl for fruit as well as two gorgeous stone urns for the garden. It was a great day of walking around though and we had an amazing lunch (read on for details). Check out lots of pics below.
The lunch options at Brimfield include a lot of food stands and food trucks. However, most of them are pizza, subs, hot dogs and other fast food options. Then theres Hearty Eats. Hearty Eats is the food truck by the cafe of the same name in Shelburne Falls. They specialize in organic, vegetarian (at least at the food truck) and most importantly delicious food. We got an order of the root fries, falafel salad and Indian curry. I get the falafel salad every year and it is soooo good: "three falafel, a bed of fresh greens, fresh cabbage & carrot, marinated seasonal vegetables, pickled vegetable, and tahini dressing." If you're a Brimfield go-er and you haven't stopped by, I highly recommend you take a break from bargain hunting to grab some food here. It is located next to the Hertans field, pretty much right behind the Pilgrim Sandwich stand that always has a huge line.
