For our first full day in Eleuthera, we started off the day with a morning of fishing in Rock Sound (on the "Yes, Dear" to be precise). We threw on some sunscreen and lay lazily on the boat as we puttered around, waiting for a fish to bite the line.
Now I had never successfully caught a fish before, but on this occasion I was able to successfully reel in a Mahi-mahi! I also am not a huge fish-eater, but later that night, I ate said fish for dinner (and it was delicious)! So a lot of firsts on this trip already.
After a lovely morning of fishing, we returned to the house and sipped iced tea with our sandwiches, before laying by the pool for a few hours. After a few hours of bronzing, we zipped back to the boat for a little snorkeling adventure. Snorkeling is one of my favorite activities. Zipping around under water, through little worlds of colorful fish, coral and critters, is a magical experience. We gathered our gear as the sun began to dip below the horizon, then headed back for hot outdoor showers, followed by chilled beers and my prized catch for dinner.
