Last weekend, I really wanted to head to the seaport. I was feeling a walk along the water, and hadn't visited the Institute of Contemporary Art in a while. I have to admit, the ICA sometimes has exhibits that are a little too contemporary for me, but the building is beautiful and it's always worth checking out.
The current exhibit, "Leap Before You Look: Black Mountain College 1933-1957", showcases the work and history of the progressive arts college in North Carolina. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it. The exhibit features many different types of media such as woodwork, jewelry and paintings, and really showcases the collaboration between students and their teachers.
