I have always wanted to learn how to marble paper. It's so beautiful and we all know about my obsession with Pernille Snedker Hansen. I was very lucky to receive a Jacquard marbling kit for Christmas and I was eager to try it out.
The Jacquard kit comes with pretty much everything you need besides the paper and the trays. They also feature detailed instructions on their web site that I could not have done this without. Now I am a very detail oriented and creative person, so I thought this would be somewhat of a breeze for me. Man how I was wrong. It was so time consuming for me as a newb and very tricky to get the results I wanted. I have so much respect for Pernille and am now even more awe struck by her works.
All this being said, it was really fun to set all of this up and fiddle around with. I can't wait to try it again and hopefully get some better results. I did end up with about ten sheets of marbled paper that I'm now searching for a use for. I'm thinking cards or maybe even framing one for my room? Any suggestions? I'll be sure to share some photos once I figure out what to do with them.
My next undertaking is going to be attempting to marble with nail polish...
