I apologize for the double artist post but I can't help myself! Seeing as it is my last day here at Blue Water Fine Arts, I figure now is as good a time as any to do a post on my lovely boss, Barbara Prey. Barbara has works in the permanent collection of the White House, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, NASA and countless other private collections including that of Tom Hanks. She is on the National Council of the Arts which advises the National Endowment for the Arts.
She is incredibly talented and I have been lucky enough to manage her gallery here in Port Clyde for the last month. Not only is she talented, but she is also a sweet, genuine and very hardworking lady! I picked a few of my favorites to show you all but check out the rest at www.barbaraprey.com. As you can see, the coloring in her pieces is so vivid they almost don't look like watercolors, something that she has now become known for.
