These sugared pecans (originally from the Smith College Pecan Recipe Book) are always a huge hit with everyone and they are insanely easy to whip up last minute. Probably takes a grande total of ten minutes to combine all your ingredients-- then just pop them in the oven, package them up in pretty bags, smack a bow on them and voila! 1 pound pecans
1 egg white
1 tablespoon water
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1. Beat egg white and water until frothy. Coat pecans with egg white mixture.
2. Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt. Add to pecans and mix well.
3. Bake at 300 degrees for 30-40 minutes, stirring halfway through.
