A few weekends ago, I made my way to western Massachusetts for the night. After a beautiful fall day spent watching college football followed by a delicious dinner, we woke up early on Sunday to head to MASS MoCa. MASS MoCa is one of my favorite museums (especially out of those that are semi-local). However, to be honest, the last time I visited, there were no exhibits that really piqued my interest (you can read more about that trip here).Read More
A couple weeks ago for Columbus Day weekend, I decided to take Monday off for some much needed R&R. I have to say, it was one of the best spent vacation days I've ever taken. This fall has been an absolute whirlwind; work has been crazy and I've been traveling every weekend since August. As I was researching what to do and see during our day in Provincetown, I was thrilled to discover it was home to a John Derian shop! John Derian is one of my all-time favorite stores, known for its storefront in the East Village in NYC.
Derian is most famous for his decoupage plates, trays and paper weights, that you can find decorating bookshelves, walls and nightstands all over the world. More than that though, he has an incredible eye for all things design. His shop is always filled to the brim with beautiful curiosities from unique vendors all over the world, making it practically impossible to leave without taking a little something home with you.Read More
This weekend, I decided to visit somewhere I'm surprised to say I've never been before...Provincetown! We woke up bright and early on Saturday and walked down to the waterfront, where we conveniently hopped on the 9am ferry. The ferry ride takes about an hour and a half, and is a lovely way to wake up with beautiful views of the Boston skyline.Read More
Storm King Art Center is an outdoor sculpture park located about an hour north of NYC, in New Windsor, NY. It's been at the top of my bucket list of places to see near Boston so I'm ecstatic that I finally was able to make it happen! If you're traveling from Boston, Storm King is about three and a half hours away. Luckily, my grandparents live in Western Massachusetts so it made for the perfect day trip with their house as our home base.Read More
